ASTAP was born by the initiative of three European immigrants named Ackelberg, Stadler and Patzka, who arrived before the Second World War and shared the vision of bringing new technologies to Ecuador; at that time, electric cables and batteries for automobiles.

Since then, ASTAP has specialized in supplying equipment, materials and services for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical applications.
